Dear Baked Brie with Balsamic Strawberries,

The moment I laid my eyes on you at Spoonful of Flavor, I knew I had to have you. The juiciness of your strawberries, the gooeyness of your cheese, and the simplicity of your flavors had me dreaming about you for almost a week.

With my first taste, I fell deeper. Rainbows appeared and butterflies fluttered. I was in tart juicy cheese heaven. The fact that you have only 4 simple ingredients deepened my budding devotion to you. Our love affair only lasted 2 days and it is an affair that will never be forgotten. Until next time…

All my love,

Sam

Baked Brie with Balsamic Strawberries

Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes
Servings 4 people

Ingredients

  • 1 8oz round of brie
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries cut into bite-size pieces
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. In a saucepan over medium heat, add the strawberries, sugar, and balsamic vinegar. Gently stir until the strawberries soften slightly. Remove from heat.
  2. Remove the brie from the packaging and slice off the top rind. Place back in the packaging container and bake on a baking sheet for 7 minutes. Remove from the oven and spoon the strawberries on top of the melted brie. Bake for 3 more minutes.

  3. When your new love comes out of the oven, gently stir to incorporate the cheese and strawberries. Serve with crackers or crusty bread. Enjoy!

Recipe Notes

If you are making this for a large group, I recommend purchasing a 16oz round of brie and doubling the rest of the ingredients.

Tart balsamic strawberries and melted brie cheese are the perfect partners in this simple dish.
