Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie
This chocolate chip cookie recipe bakes up into thick, soft cookies that will leave your mouth happy.
- 3 1/3 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter melted & cooled
- 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 12 oz chocolate chips
Preheat your oven to 325 degrees. Whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt together in a bowl and set aside.
Beat the butter, sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until combined. Beat in the eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla until just combined.
Slowly mix the flour mixture into the butter/sugar mixture until just combined.(Don't overmix, it will make the cookies hard) Mix in the chocolate chips until incorporated.
Scoop 1/4 cup of dough, roll into a ball and place on a prepared baking sheet. Repeat until all the dough is on the baking sheet. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until the centers are soft and puffy with golden edges.
Allow the cookies to cool for about 10 minutes. Serve with ice cold milk and enjoy.
