Have you noticed everyone has an opinion on the perfect chocolate chip cookie?

Seriously, EVERYONE. Thick and soft? Thin and crispy? Crispy on the edges and soft in the middle? Your ultimate cookie fantasy may not match someone else’s.

However, when you present this classic cookie to anyone, they get excited. Chocolate chip cookies are the ultimate crowd-pleasing dessert.

No one truly cares if these cookies are store bought, baked from a box mix, or homemade. If you provide a well-made chocolate chip cookie, then everyone is happy.

My perfect chocolate chip cookies bake into thick, soft, perfect morsels. The tasty not-too-sweet cookie part perfectly balances the melty chocolate chips scattered throughout.

So the cookie can keep its softness after day one, I’ve added extra egg yolks. Also, I like using mini chocolate chips in my ultimate cookie recipe.

What is your ultimate chocolate chip cookie?
