Crab and shrimp seafood salad is a classic favorite. Summertime is the perfect time of year to serve this refreshing salad.

The lemon juice and fresh dill brighten up the already delicious crab and shrimp. A touch of mayonnaise is added to give the salad creaminess. Minced red onion and a dash of dijon complete the classic taste of this salad by adding an extra zing.

Does the touch of mayonnaise scare you? Ya… me too (usually). In this crab and shrimp seafood salad, the addition of mayonnaise helps the flavors get to know each other and adds the exact amount of creaminess to the dish it needs.

Now, let’s talk about imitation crab.

It tastes good and it’s affordable. The end.

Obviously, real crab is ideal for this recipe but you can save some moolah when you choose imitation. In the end, both types of meat are spectacular in this recipe.

Enjoy this seafood salad scooped up on some crackers or spread between a split buttery croissant.
